These images are kept as visible process history, not current art direction. They should not be used as prompt references for new production art unless the note says exactly what to avoid.
CHAR-CORE_doug-jerry-barry_lineup_v02#

Why we abandoned it: Superseded by CHAR-CORE_doug-jerry-barry_lineup_v03.png. Doug reads too much as skater/mechanic action styling and not enough as a grounded software engineer with practical incident-response gear. The newer lineup better establishes the canonical Doug/Jerry/Barry physical designs.
What still helps: The trio composition and scale relationship are useful as process history, but use v03 for current silhouettes.
CHAR-003_barry_portrait_v02#

Why we abandoned it: Superseded by CHAR-003_barry_portrait_v03.png. Barry's body identity is less clean than the current compact mower design, and the workshop treatment leans too dark for the default series palette.
What still helps: The image reinforces that Barry belongs in practical repair spaces, but future Barry art should keep the v03 body and the asymmetrical cyan status light interrupted by a short amber segment.
CHAR-005_heather-alvarez_portrait_v03#

Why we abandoned it: Superseded by CHAR-005_heather-alvarez_portrait_v04.png for the current full-figure character set. This version has attractive color in places, but it is more photo/airbrush adjacent and less consistent with the inked portrait set.
What still helps: Heather's turquoise blouse, tavern-red apron, pearls, notebook, curls, and alert social authority remain correct.
ENM-001_cadence-rider_portrait_v04#

Why we abandoned it: Superseded by ENM-001_cadence-rider_portrait_v05.png. The later version integrates the rider more clearly into Bellwether and the Hop Collective visual language. V04 is more isolated and less useful as a current worldbuilding reference.
What still helps: The black/violet alien-cult contrast and cyclist threat language are still relevant, but use v05 for current staging and palette.
CHAR-007_marlene-walker_portrait_v03#

Why we abandoned it: Superseded by CHAR-007_marlene-walker_portrait_v02.png. V02 is the approved Marlene portrait and one of the primary palette references. This v03 image is too brown and cluttered for the standard portrait set.
What still helps: It preserves the idea that Marlene belongs in operational county spaces with maps, radios, and binders, but use v02 for her current face, palette, and character-page art.
